I’m sure you’ve heard about them somewhere. What am I talking about? Well frags of course! What are they? Frags which is short for fragment, is a fragment of a coral which has been “fragged” to a smaller spot. Generally you can frag just about any coral with some few exceptions. Frags are normally cheaper than buying a coral outright and therefore most aquarists buy them. The cool thing about frags is that they can grow into a larger coral over time. It’s nice having before and after shots of frags growing in your aquarium. This also shows how healthy your tank is if you can support a frag to grow over time.
