Some of you have been asking of a overall tank shot of my 75 Gallon. Here it is along with my lighting system so you can get a better idea of how I have it setup.

I love this unit, there are 3 ballasts on it, they are external, and they are all built into one unit. I’ll post a picture on the blog later Monday.

Just wondering, I am interested in getting into a 75 gallon reef system, how much money did you spend on your setup and what sort of equipment do you have invested in that setup shown above?

Excellent setup. I love the cleanliness of the glass walls and the lighting effect.

I am researching on Aqua Medic light fixtures. I have actually never seen one in person. Are those shades on the bottom of the fixture? What is the distance between the top of tank and bottom of fixture? Are you using their “Aquawall”?

I am in the process of setting up my brand new 90g, which is basically the same footprint as yours except 4 inches taller. I am still debating between 2×250w vs 2×150w. Have you experienced any heat issues?

Also being considered is Aqua Medic’s “Sexy” series, 2×250w 10k and 1×150w 20k sandwiched between the two 250w’s.

Please help. i just got a MH light from a different vendor there are 3 HQI 250w bulbs.

Wondering, if you put your ear to the bulbs, do you hear a distinct high pitched sound coming from the bulb area?

I have EXTERNAL ballasts located far away. It’s not the ballast, it’s the bulb.

Please let me know, it’s driving me crazy!
