Here is a guide on how to install the Aqua Medic Lighting in your ceiling. This is pretty easy but requires some planning.
Whichever way you decide to install this light, don’t use sheetrock plastic screws. These will not hold this unit up and I am not sure why they even include them with the unit. So how do I install this beast anyways?

When have figured out where you want to mount your light. Find your rafters, you can do this by buying a stud finder, or measuring from your nearest wall. Rafters are usually every 16″-24″ inches depending on where you live. If you can screw your two screws up into your light your all set!

However, if your like me, your rafters didn’t fall perfectly where you wanted them too. And your going to need to do some basic framing. First, I punched a hole thru my celing on where I wanted the screw to go. Next I went up into my attic found and found the screw. I then got a 2×6 (a 2×4 will work too) and slid it between the two rafters and so the screw would hit the piece of wood.

I nailed the two sides of the 2×6 so it would support the lighting below. Thats it, that should support your lighting.
