Euro Reef hang on skimmer possibly coming next year

Chock this one up another rampant rumor, but we actually think this is very possible. Seems that Euro-Reef is making a hang on the back skimmer. Most likely to compete with Deltec’s MCE line which starts at about $300. We expect at least one model, although 2 or 3 is highly likely. Pump choice is obviously up in the air, as is price. Needle-wheel design would be our first guess. Keeping the pump out of the aquarium would be an added plus, to match the MCE line of design. Media chamber, and ease of cleaning are all high on aquarists “I want” lists in shopping for a hang on skimmer. It will be interesting to see which design elements Euro Reef adds to the hang on back rumor skimmer.
it will be interesting to see the HOB market grow, as ATB will also be releasing a conical HOB skimmer. be sure to post as you find out more.
