Not content with having a successful new prop power head on the market. Hydor released yet another product, their Calcium reactor in the performer series. Having three models to choose, you’ll have options for your aquariums ranging from 198 gallons to 687 gallons. With the max height of the calcium reactors of 23.6 inches. Hydor is saying mum on the price, but we expect these to be less than $300 for the cheapest model. They seem to be a great choice for us reef builders.

[...] We first reported the Hydor Wavemaker 2 back in Febuary 2008 including video, fast foward about 4 months and Hydor has finally got around to releasing the Hydor wavemaker 4, which as the name suggests allows you to control 4 pumps. In addition to adding 2 additional pumps over their standard wavemaker 2, they are also adding a night mode which also states that their is an optional photo sensor which we have yet to hear anything about. In addition to this you now have a food mode which does as what most food modes do, stop the pump for a period of time. Unlike the Wavemaker 2, the new wavemaker 4 has a LCD screen (sweet!) so you can adjust or set programs to your liking, including which pump and speed (nice!). No word on price but we expect this to be under $200. The hydor wavemaker 4 is branded under Hydor’s “Professional Marine equipment” line which includes the performer protein skimmers and calcium reactors. [...]
