Dr. Chris Simpson is a normal guy, after all he has Google Earth and works as a coral reef specialist at West Australia’s Department of Environment and Conservation. What he discovered by using google earth was amazing… a fringing coral reef in the Kimberley region. “I’m a great traveller and I am always looking at Google Earth and it’s fantastic at looking at all the reefs,” he says. Dr. Simpson has done this before though, using satellite images before Google Earth came out. Still this is pretty sweet in our books.

Pretty sweet indeed. And to think, I’ve been wasting all this time on Google Earth just looking at my neighborhood.
