Elos has launched their new mini nano aquarium, options include low iron in the front and a special edition that will have low iron on all sides, as the larger elos systems. Dimensions are around 17×17x16. Also comes with their new LED e-lite. watt LEDs which has:
80 lumens per watt.
18 individually reflected LEDs
fan cooled
It looks like a 70 watt HQI bulb “so I would imagine the PAR is very good (as LEDs tend to look “softer” than their actual PAR numbers that I have seen) but I can say for sure when I return because I will have the numbers in front of me. Keep in mind, that we have tested and even produced (but never sold) LED fixtures in the past 4 years but we felt this unit together with the mini was the right time as the LED’s have gotten much stronger and with the e-LITE design we can quickly move as the LED’s improve, as they will. In it’s current state we are using this LED:
