ATI’s new sunpower T5 lighting system is getting closer to shipping to waiting fans buyers here in the United States. The system has many features among them are an active cooling system, the air blows in from the sides of the unit to prevent salt spray while still cooling your unit. The 4 lamp model will come with one fan, while the 6 bulb model will come with two. In addition to this efficiency is said to have increased by over 50% versus other T5 units, such as the Tek unit by increasing the “cold spot” of the T5 lamps. These sunpower units come in sizes of 24″, 36″, 48″, and 60″. The units come complete with hanging kit, splash shield, silver coated reflectors, and the intelligent active cooling system for maximum light-output that we told you about. The housing isn’t as “fancy” as the powermodule lamp unit so we expect pricing to be in line with normal T5 units and not break the bank.
