atb-hang-on-1

New pictures popped out of ATB’s new hang on skimmer that should be hitting US shores soon. The pictures show a nice bubble mixing inside the riser tube of the skimmer. We haven’t heard of any microbubble complaints coming from testers so we’re assuming here that there aren’t any. What is interesting to note is the skimmer is mainly white, we found this other hang on back skimmer from ATB that looks identical from this US model pictured. We only spotted one difference that being the one over in Europe is a black mold versus the white version picutred here. It sure would be nice if ATB cleared up the confusion from these two different models, because to us they look exactly the same. Retail is still said to hit at $499.

If you want to know something, why not just ask? I can clear up any confusion, or Victor could. These skimmers are all CNC’ed, so its really just a matter of what the customer wants. There were some reefers who voiced concern over having a bright red skimmer poking up behind their tanks… wanting a black, grey, or other less obvious color instead. If you wanted ‘bright blue’ or green, all that ATB has to do is put a different block of material in the machines before carving it out. These skimmers arent made by the thousands by someone in China.
