remeshwheel

Leave it to Klaus and Co. to take a DIY idea like the mesh wheel and rebuild it to perform at high specifications, like at high RPMs in a Red Dragon pump. Now just by looking at pictures of mesh wheels made for other skimmers below, which one do you think is gonna be running for years and years and which one looks like it is going to be replaced at a regular interval? The three sizes of the monster mesh wheel are available for purchase separately from the RE shop for 36, 45 and 52 euros. There’s no word on future availability in the U.S. but a nice chat with your neighborhood Royal-Exclusiv dealer might result in producing the slice of brillo pad in 4-6 weeks. So is this just supposed to be an add-on? Can we expect to see this mod show up in any upcoming skimmer models? Only time (or comments) will tell us what is up with the metal mesh wheel from Royal-Exclusiv.

It’s easy to say this wheel “eats other wheels for breakfast”, but has Klaus released any information in regards to air pull with this wheel on any RD Pump? IME, denser mesh isn’t always better.

    Still, Very, very nice.

Oh, I beg to differ! The Euroreef Mesh wheel has been out longer and it is made of a special alloy. The “strands are actually blades that slice the air better then anything else I have ever seen.
ALL BUILT RIGHT HERE IN THE USA………….

The meshwheel will make the pump vibrate and makes it noisy. Also damages the pump slightly.
