Super Beast cone skimmer from I-Tech

The “Super Beast” or XL model is an external recirculating skimmer driven by a Dart Gold with a custom venturi and impeller. Currently, the pump draws ~3000 lph at 153 watts with a Dwyer meter attached. When the meter is removed the wattage drops to 143 so we would believe the skimmer is actually pulling more air during normal operation. Features include: valved collection cup & body drain, controllable bypass loop for more stable foam production, cup-neck to base dissembles with stainless steel thumb screws, air suction silencer/muffler and the supply water is feed through  the recirculating pump. Cone Base is 12″ and the Cone Neck: comes in at 6”. The overall height is a very tall 43” and the footprint with the pump is 30” x 18”. The pump recommended for this new cone skimmer is the Reeflo Dart Super Gold. Pricing hasn’t been released but we don’t expect this to appeal to the mass market due to the massive size.
