The video is a high definition look at some of the stunning aquarium exhibits on display at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, CA. Once again Greg Rothschild flexes his video muscle to show us some beloved marine and reef animals. The reef display is ginormous, the school of lookdowns is impressive and the different jellyfish species are mesmerizing. If nothing else, you have got to watch this video just to see the unbelievable non-photosynthetic coral display which is fully loaded with Tubastrea, Balanophyllia, Rhizotrochus and many colorful sea fans and soft corals. That tank is also home to deepwater anthias such as Pseudanthias ventralis and P. randalli. We can’t wait to visit this tank ourselves when we attend IMAC West, also in Long Beach, and we’ll see if we can’t get a better closer look at this truly unique display. We thank Greg Rothschild for putting this video together and sharing it with the wider web.

makes me wish that the folks that own the downtown aquarium had done something better, not that its not a nice aquarium but it has so much more potential.

    excellent video

Having been to AoP in person, I can say this video doesn’t do it justice. I would saw say this aquarium is only second to the Georgia Aquarium but how do you compete with 6.3 million gallons?
