Happy Birthday Reefs Magazine! The Manhattan Reefs editorial staff of Reef Magazine have released the spring edition of their quarterly journal and with this 5th issue they celebrate their one year anniversary. This spring issue celebrates growth, changes in growth and all of the motifs of rebirth that come with spring as they relate to aquaria. This quarter the mag features an interview with Terry “the Godfather” Siegel about his four decades of keeping marine and reef aquariums. You have to read the hilarious piece, Busted Reefing by Dominick Cirigliano with Chris Martini about NYPD’s finest doing a sting operation on an illicit streeetside phytoplankton sale. Also featured in this issue is Jason Edward’s reef masterpiece which resides at his upscale aquarium shop Greenwich Aquaria. We first brought you video of this fine aquarium last fall but be sure to read the article for updated pics about the system and it’s residents. Many clubs have the resources and motivation to start cool projects but by celebrating a whole year of operation, the Reefs Magazine writers show us that they are here to stay. We have no doubt that Reefs Magazine will continue to grow and develop into one of our favorite marine and reef aquarium publications. Good job Randy!
