The story continues. At IMACSA 2009 in Cape Town on the 23rd of October, the albinos will be shown to the public for the first time. Julian Sprung and Anthony Calfo will be also present at IMACSA 2009. I am going to announce my partner in the US for the sole distribution for the north american market.

Hi guys, I was told on MOFIB, my pictures will have a copyright as soon as posted. Now I google albino clownfish and find this.

What must I say?

At this stage I dont really care about the copyrights. Guys like you creating the demand I need. As long as I can keep up with the demand. Still only 46 Albinos alive in the world!

Come on you guys, do a quick wiki search before you try to erroneously correct someone. The absence of all pigment including melanin is leucism.

Albinism is the lack of all pigmentation. Not just melanin. (no e at the end, jake). The telltale red eyes come from blood, which is normally not visible due to pigmentation.

??? True Jake, but then how come albino animals (in general) dont have green, hazel, blue, etc, eyes? Always pink? The pink coloration is garnered from the blood vessel colration, correct? Now you have me thinking.

Albinism is not an absence of pigment but an absence of black pigment, melanine. The red eyes, devoid of melanine, is the tell tale sign of true albinism as opposed to xanthism or leucistism.

Im not convinced they are albinos. True albinos lack pigment in their tissue. This causes most eyes to appears pink or red, and other tissues to take on other bizarre appearances, typically pale or white. The orange on the clownfish does appear to be slightly different, but Im not convinced its a lack of pigmentation. But cool nonetheless.
