From what I hear this filter will be for the higher end Fish Hobbyist, The Geeks of this hobby.. unlike the 305/405's etc that come with standard aquarium kits. As for that glowing blue light I was told it will be the display for the temperature like Fluval E series heaters.. I was also told it might have a variation of the e series heater implemented into it as well as some sort of ammonia/nitrite/nitrate reader but that seems a bit far fetched. Overall this filter will probably be the start of next gen filters.. I'm not sure if it'll be a good thing or a bad thing.. I guess we'll just have to wait and see...

Some sort of power filter / sump / refugium combo for those of us with sumpless tanks would be awesome! I've had a Fluval 404 running 24/7 on a turtle tank for almost four years now without a problem, I'd love to see something like that for my reef.
