nac7-cone-bubble-magus

Bubble Magus has been known to make low cost, or in other words down right cheap aquarium products and this holds true with their newest cone shaped skimmer. The NAC7. This small cone skimmer is rated for aquariums from 500 (132 gallons) liters to 700 (184 gallons) liters and uses a Atman PH2500 pump and a meshwheel impeller. That pump will eat up 28 watts and push “2,500 lph” although we can verify if that is correct as it seems very high. Full description below the break and you’ll be able to pick this guy up for a cool $120.

Bubble Magus NAC7 adopted in recent years begun to take off the cone-shaped chamber, the bubbles rising from the diversion box unimpeded direct access to the collection neck, so that bubbles can be more steady accumulation, an increase of egg-point processing efficiency.

The NAC7 the use of export version of the unified collection of large-diameter neck, so that the water level adjustment easier, in the case of changes in water quality to reduce burst opportunity. In addition, on the silencers have also been improved, the intake silencer device interface and design and installation of water level control valve in the pipe, effectively enhanced the silencing effect, also more compact shape.

In NAC7, we continue to use the custom ph2500 brush water pumps, gas technology with the BM and BM ring cable engineers to debug the diversion carefully designed so that the performance of cone-shaped chamber structure of the full-fat fai! NAC Series NAC7 also insist on low-cost and efficient route to reward everyone for the support of our products!

I think this product has legs, it looks well made from the photo, will be good to see if it lives up to its looks.

My only question would be does the pump have any UL or CSA certification? At the very least CE. We are dealing with AC voltage immersed in water, so I would want to make sure it has gone through some sort of testing.

Other than that I think it looks impressive, but lets see it in action! ?

Looks like four thumbscrews holding the bottom plate and cone plate together. Wonder if the pump is just held in place by that fitting around the volute area of the pump. Does seem like a rather inefficient pump in terms of energy consumption.

    excellent budget cone skimmer…
that pump is actually better than the popular resun/gen x pumps used on other budget skimmers, and e-shopps has actually switched over to using the atmann pumps from resun because there isnt the issues with failure that resun pumps have had.
also, this is the same pump that has been used for the last year on the nac6 skimmer.
the other design features look real solid as they are based on the nac6 as well,
all in all just great for the price, and more than $100 less than the eshopps cone that has the same pump
