Sicce USA is the new US based distribution arm of Sicce, the Italian manufacturer of water pumps and other water moving devices. You may have become more and more familiar with the Sicce brand with the PSK line of pumps that have become especially popular for use in needle wheel, mesh wheel and cone protein skimmer applications. Sicce water pumps are the engine of choice for such fine protein skimmer manufacturers such as Warner Marine, ATB and many others. What you may not know is that Sicce designs and manufactures a broad range of water pumps, from the small water fountain use Micra, the extremely quiet Synchra Silent, the stream style Voyager and many others, several of which are OEM’d for other brands; if you take a close look at some of their products you’ll notice an uncanny similarity to already established water pump models. The new US based Sicce USA distributorship will be based in Knoxville TN and we hear that they should get ramped up in the next month or so. Sicce USA has been rumored to be taking business back to the people and we hear that they plan to distribute products through “traditional” channels, we’ll leave it to the reader to read between those lines. In any case, the formation of Sicce USA portends a much greater availability of these fine water moving devices across the country and we look forward to having a diversity of choice that extends beyond the Maxi Jets and Magdrives.

This is huge news! I look forward to seeing much greater availability of Sicce products, it ought to make the market for higher end Tunze and Eheim pumps more competitive.
I wonder if these are similar to the Marineland pumps? I just bought one and noticed the motorblock was manufactured in Italy.
I believe Marineland’s pumps are made by another OEM.
This is pretty dang smart across the board. Sicce already has a good reputation so extending that to a greater focus in the NA market is huge. Competition is always a good thing and will be interesting to see the trickle-down effects on Tunze and Eheim (no knock on either of these companies at all — all three are quality!). It will be nice to see the products that start coming out beyond just the skimmer pumps in use already.
Two other makes that Sicce is the OEM for yet not mentioned are the Tunze’s and Quiet One (QO 3000 is nearly identical to the PSK 2500).
That pump pictured above looks like one of the Tunze recirculating pumps that has been around a while…
