Fungimarin is a special treatment for marine ornamental fish against fungus (e. g. Saprolegnia) and their accompanying secondary bacterial infections. Visible signs of fungal infection are cotton-wool like tufts.

Infected fish show Skin and scale loss, swelling, eruptions ranging up to crater-like depressions, wounds with and without reddening of the surrounding tissue, sores, fin erosion, decelerated or accelerated movement, careening movements, cramping general darkening of coloration, swollen abdomen in conjunction with ruffled scales.
Ektomarin is a universal treatment against most infections of marine ornamental fish. like protozoa (e. g. Cryptobia, Cryptocarion), bacteria (e. g. Flexibacter) and fungus (e. g. Saprolegnia). ektomarin may also be used for the desinfection of newly added fish, decorative objects, etc.
The particular combination of active ingredients in ektomarin results in a mild and long-lasting release of oxygen and is therefore particularly well tolerated. ektomarin may also be used for the treatment of invertebrates like corals, anemones, snails, mussels.
