Limulus other LED pendant is the Caelum, the marine version is made from 75% 9000K LEDs and 25% 420nm blue LEDs. They will produce a freshwater version as well. Unlike other LED light fixtures we have seen this unit can be wirelessly programmed by your PC via a handly USB port. You can read more about Limulus’ new controller here. Click the read link for blurb from Limulus.

“Two models available, for marine tank and for fresh water tank.
These innovative fixtures offer many benefits and can satisfy any aquarist exigency.
Its innovative technology use a mixed configuration, of leds cold white & blue for the “cold” version, warm white only for “warm” version. The desidered temperature colour can be realized for the most natural light cycle simulation. The intensity can be programmed for any minute of the day, the limit is your fantasy…….
Led technology offer many other advantages, one of them is the power energy saving.
Energy saving depend from many factors, like high led efficiency, high efficiency on electronic circuit control, no ultraviolet emission, no infrared emission, all emitted heat is on top side fixture, so non tank warm-up is provided, this means an additional cost saving on tank cooling, a reduction of carbon emission is a natural consequence of the energy saving and a good benefit for the running cost, over 60% of your power consumption ca be saved.
LED life is very long, thanks to efficient cooling system the led life will be a minimum of 50.000h, at 12h for day means over 11 year with a final 70% of initial luminous flux . No bulb change needed.
Inside time clock, all parameters for running are stored inside the fixture, no external controller or timer is required. The fixture is wireless programmable by USB adapter to be connected on your Pc’s.
Elegant and refined design, all spare part’s are in inox steel, compact design.
The light flux is provided by 35° opening lens, a concentrate beam offer a water wave effect like HQI bulbs.
No maintenance required
Safe low voltage technology

Cold version :
The cold version provide 75% of light with 9000K leds and 25% with 450nM leds for a better effect on colours
Warm version:
The warm version provide 100% of light with 6000K leds.”
Say hello to the Lyra by Limulus. The Lyra is a full RGB LED pendant. Limulus claims that is has the consumption of a 250w while producing 400w DE halide. Lunar cycle and sunrise/sunset is included. Dimming can be adjusted from 0% to 100% as well as adjusting the kelvin rating up to 20,000K.
