ATB just raised the bar another notch with thier newest ATB XL external protein skimmer. This thing is a beast, having a bubble plate 12″ in diameter and the neck reaching 7.5″ in diameter. Reaching 32″ tall, the base is over 19″ in diameter. No word on a price for this bad boy.
We got a spy photo of a new ATB Hang-on-back photo of what appears to be a new protein skimmer doing some final testing. We are covered this model earlier, however this is the first in action photo we have received. Upon looking at the photo we see a nice water/air ratio and very little micro bubble return. Rumor, and take this only as a rumor, that this will be released in two months. Or around September 2008.
