A new pump design is making its round across the pond. Royal Exclusiv has upped the ante with 2200 RPM while sucking 1200 LPH worth of air. Not to shabby. This will be available as a dealer option, if you like what you see ask your dealer about ordering details. Royal Exclusive was kind enough to offer a price point of about $90 for it and it should be coming stateside early December. However, Royal Exclusive is also testing the devils at 4000 RPM pulling 3300 LPH. After your finished wiping all that drool off you’ll be in for a wait as we don’t expect the later to come forth to market until Mid 2009.
We just received word that those ultra cool Red Dragon II pumps have begun shipping to dealers. The pump which comes in a variety of different sizes can push water from 3,962GPH all the way to 13,210 GPH. Dealers should recieve limitied amounts, so if you haven’t talked to them yet then odds are certainly against you. By mid October dealers should have full stock on the following models: 170, 250, 350 and 1500 watts. That wave controller we talked about earlier and 110v models will be released later this year. Now, if we could only find a tank to use that hefty 1500 watt model pushing 13,210 GPH we’d be all set.
Finally the day has come when Royal Exclusiv decided to finally release their complete new Red Dragon II line. We’ve been following tidbits we’ve been getting over the past few months, but some of the advantages we’ve been able to translate are:
No 50/60hz hum, like normal AC Pumps
Available models from 16,000l/h (4,200 GPH) to 50,000l/h (13,208 GPH)
100% Controlled Drives with either external or integrated controller
Adjustable from 10-100%
“The most energy efficient pumps on the market”
Unbreakable Titanium axles with Silicon Carbide (SiC) Bearings
Integrated Soft Start
Keep in my we are trying to translate from German, and our German last we checked was a bit rusty. Overall all pumps are either getting a boast in GPH and some are getting a slight boast in watt usage. Check out the high res gallery below.
You’ll remember the Super Marin 300 from Royal Exclusive we’ve showed you in times past? We can finally put a price on the dual pump monster. Hitting the US shores at a retail of $2049, not as much as we expected especially since it comes standard with 2 red dragon pumps. Royal Exclusive’s self cleaning head units got priced as well, hitting for a cool $1250. Available now. We don’t know of any real good excuses to get that past your girlfriend/wife/parents but it should make your life easier on general maintenance of your uber cool skimmer.
The new bubble king mini 180 has been updated by Royal Exclusiv to offer more air and water. Specficially the jumps from 800lph to 1200lph, and from 1500lph to 2000lph for water. This is possible by an upgraded pump, the RD1000 which will replace the RD800. Meanwhile the bubble king 200 also gets a bump in the specs department jumping from 1000lph of air to 1700lph, note to that the water amount is the same at an even 3000lph, this is made possible from the new RD1500 pump. These new skimmers received a new Volutes and venturi’s as well along with the new RE silencer. These have begun shipping to dealers and for now no price increase will happen, but we are told that it will happen very soon. Now we just want to know when the DC pumps will hit our shores?
We knew that Royal Exclusiv would finally get to releasing their new Super Marin 300. That day has finally arrived. The Super Marin 300 uses two pumps, which both have increased lph volume with larger volutes, allowing up to 3600lph of air while using both pumps. “ The body is made of 300mm (11 ¾”) Diameter Cast Acrylic & the height of the skimmer is 600mm (23 5/8”). Base plate is 330mm (13”), the actual width by length including the riser pipe is 16”x 13”. Depending on which pump is mounted on which side, the base dimensions will be: 23 7/8” x 20 7/8” or 21” 7/8” x 24 3/8”.’ The main pump, which is a RD2000, uses max of 45 watts, the secondary pump which isa Mini RD 1500 uses 38 watts. Interesting too is too is each pump has a ozone bypass (yay!) valve which a lot of ozone users just let out a heavy sigh of relief, along with silencers. The Super Marin 300 works with Royal Exclusiv’s self cleaning head unit and these are already shipping to dealers. No word on price but we don’t expect these units to come cheap. However the good news is that due to high demand these are being shipped to North American before Europe. Be sure to check out the gallery below.
Royal Exclsuiv got around to releasing pricing on their new self cleaning head. Royal Exclsuiv has confirmed working on the Supermarines 300, a new skimmer for tanks up to 5000 liters (1320 gallons). This new skimmer will use two pumps, taking a line from computers and main or master pump and also a slave pump. Their reasoning is so we can find the best performance for our particular tank (makes sense). No word on pricing or release date.

In case you weren’t drooling enough from Royal Exclusiv’s line of products, start drooling now. They released their smaller 170w model which is designed for skimmer use. This is a DC brushless pump with a max flow rate is said to be 15,000 lph (3,960GPH) and has an adjustable air intake between 1000-25000. With the purchase of this pump comes the pump’s controller. You can control the pump from 1000 to 3600 RPM. No word on price, but don’t be surprised if it doesn’t fit into your budget. Controller picture after the jump!
Royal exclusive next generation pump called the Red Dragon II will be replacing the older first generation Red Dragon. Stats are rumored to be about 50,000 LPH (13,207 GPH) with a max head height of 10m (32.8 feet) with 30,000 LPH (7,925 GPH) at about 1500 watts. Yikes!
