Default Snowflake eel??...

I have heard a lot of different things from a lot of different people and want to get this straight... Are snowflake eels reef safe? If u got one could you keep it with like fish no less than 3 inches and maby a starfish or a sea cucumber??...If it is well feed could i keep it in a 55 gallon reef tank? Would it be able to be kept with invertabrates like snails and hermit crabs? It will have a 20 gallon sump since its been said eels are very dirty. It should it be fine it if it doesn't get a lot bigger than the fish shouldn't it? I have posted this thread for my friend boomerisnuts since he wants to get into the saltwater hobby

Advice is appreciated

thankks,
Dan
