Sounds like you picked up an ebay system.
Those typically come with a 100 gpd membrane - realize those are a low rejection membrane.
The clear tubes on top of the membrane are DI resin and maybe even some GAC.
If the system is configured with GAC after the DI stages, get rid of the GAC.
Unclip the DI stages and mount them all vertically with bottom up flow.
If the system came w/o a pressure gauge, that would be a great investment.
