Good points. Plus, I'm sure as we populate the tank, we'll discover many other breeds we want to keep. We've been so focused on the tank preparation and the stuff we need to get, we haven't thought too deeply on which breeds, although some of the books I have discuss what is comfortable with what.
And while fish breeding isn't a major part of the plan, any thoughts on other good looking fish that might be easy to breed? My wife is kinda focused on the idea of spending some time on what she can breed, where I'm thinking more about variety and color. Maybe that's a Mars/Venus analogy for life, but it also seems to be the focus for our ideas about fish-keeping, FWIW. |
