All shrimp molt, and they do it quite frequently. Obviously your clown has gotten a taste for fresh shrimp so about the only way your going to save the little guy is to remove the clown. I had a small 3 inch hawkfish who was really dwarfed by a scarlet cleaning shrimp and as soon as he molted, he tore him apart! starting with the eyes. Lesson learned.
