Re: Today's Fortune Cookie! I understand about the part where people run around in fleece when the temp hits 70. Down here, it's accompanied by stocking caps as well. Temps in the 60's brings out the heavy coats and hot chocolate. 50's...things start to slow down; drivers, thought patterns, etc. 40's and less; might as well go buy some charcoal to help heat your homes.
We do have to deal with hurricanes from time to time...those are interesting. The grocery stores start stocking up like 10 days ahead of time. The major hardware store chains begin selling the plywood. If the storm stays its course and is still heading this way, you CANNOT buy a scrap of food in a grocery store 2 days before the storm. The shelves are totally bare; anything left people fight over.
