The plastic container will work. I have seen a lot of tupperware sumps. Some actually really nice. I did the same thing with the specimine containers it worked pretty well but the pvc U tube doesn't work well at all you never get all of the air out of it and I tried very hard to get that working right. I broke down and spent the 10 bucks on a 3/4 U tube and my DIY overflow worked fine. aA few months went by and I found a used one on E bay and all said and done I liked the one I made better. But I think I told you about that one when we discussed the shut offs and pvc. |
