Are you sure the crab & shrimp died & didn't molt? Moving to a new tank could have stressed them causing the molt. Snail may have been attacked by crabs - wouldn't be the 1st time that has happened. Where do you have your mushroom positioned in the tank? If near the lights, move them lower in the tank - they open up more with less light.
