I had the same problem and i got something called chemi-clean. It is some sort of powder like substance that is safe for reef tanks, all inverts, and obviously fish. It worked really well and was relatively cheap when compared to the protein skimmer. The company that sells it is Boyd Enterprises, INC, but i just bought it at my aquarium store. |
