New solution: buy new bubble catching media. Got some from the lfs that is blue and more firm. It comes in rectangular blocks that you have to cut to size but when combined with a piece of pureflo filter pad (coralife) it basically eliminated all bubbles (for now at least). Not sure what the name of the blue foam stuff is but i think its intended for a larger filter. Cut a piece of the blue so that it fills the bottom half of the return cup at make sure it fits fairly tightly (cut it just barely bigger than the cup). Also, dont make the pureflo pad clover the blue entirely or the cup will just overflow. Fuss with it a little while and you'll get it- hope that helps |
