Default Snails are dying

I've had my saltwater tank for two years. I've maintained the same three fish since then, lots of live rock and a small amt of coral. Problem is that about 7-8 months ago something went wrong in my tank. Levels were always fine, the only thing I can think of is that the heater broke, so I bought a new one. At that same time my other corals died, a few snails died and whenever i get new fish they never make it.

Now my tank started getting full of alot of green and brown algae so I purchased a reef cleaner package with hermit crabs and snails. After they ate like crazy for a few weeks, my tank is crystal clear, water levels are fine AND NOW THE SNAILS ARE DYING.

ANY IDEAS?
