I got a little upset when I found out that my lighting system only had one power cord, meaning that I could not set my tank up to a timer, and would be forced to switch the lights on and off manually, making it nearly impossible to sustain a healthy and happy reef tank. I decided to do a little custom job on my new 12 gal nano. I went to home depot and got two 125 volt power cords and went home and took apart the tanks hood. I separated the wires and gave them their own power cord. I then did some surgery on the fixture itself so the new cords had room to get inside of it, and it was perfect. I then bought the timer and it is working just fine. Here's some new pics of the project.
