a UV sterilizer is a light that has gamma/UV light.
water passes through the contraption then the water gets hit by the light, and the light is powerful enough to kill everyhting and anything that passes throguh it.
the plus is that is will most likely get rid of you green water problem, the bad thing is, is that it will also kill all the beneficial bacteria that pass's through it.
I am selling an 18w.
18w is good for up to 200g tanks.
