I have the remora C, and actually like having it as a visible HOB unit.

Every time I look at the tank, I see it which reminds me to empty it.

If it was underneath in a sump, i could see myself being mesmarized by the eventual beauty of the tank and not emptying it as frequently.

Also, you should look into the pre-skimmer box. Its supposed to increase the efficiency significantly. However for me, I'm having issues getting it on and adjusted right with the little set screws. So I'm looking for an alternate way to attach it.

But once it gets on, it looks like it should make the skimmer work better.
