The reason that they don't list the larger pumps on their website as a recommended pump is because you MAY need to throttle them back slightly and they are trying to make their skimmers run off of the smallest & most efficient pumps possible, rather than advertising there skimmers as needing large, bulky pumps to push the water through their patented injector system. One of their main selling points is the efficiency of the skimmer.

BTW - I am not saying that a large pump will be necessary as many people have great luck with the Mag 3 pumps running the Pro version. I just know that there are a ton of people running Mag 3 on standard Remoras, Mag 5s on the Pro version, Mag 9.5 or Eheim 1262 on EV120 & EV-180, etc... because of the improved performance they get. I used to have the standard Remora and still use an EV-150 so I know AquaC skimmers very well.
That weird because I call like 2 weeks ago and asked and they told me I couldnt do that. I do have the regular sized urchin. I wanted to upgrade from the crappy maxi jet to something bigger and the tech told me that skimmer was designed for that pump and i shouldnt change the pump out.
