I'm trying to decide what I want in my overflow box; right now it has 1 piece of small live rock in the inflow box and a mj900 in the outflow box but it's putting out bubbles from the skimmer right next to it. If I put the mj in one of the big long black cyclindar/sponge things, will that keep the bubbles out of the mj flow? Right now, I am working on getting more lr and the small pieces will go into part of the overflow box for the bacteria colony but i don't want anymore bubbles going thru my tank! Will my plan work well?

P.S. I do not have a sump, just the overflow system and also a red sea berlin hanging protein skimmer. Set up has been running 5 weeks and is looking good so far, just passing the brown algae phase, yay!
