I am in the Northwest Palm Beach County area of Florida. I never heard of the issue with Bio Balls. What does one have to do to convert to live instead of bio balls?

I guess I am going have look into the PVC issue vs. stacking the live rock. I was reading, last night, about using dead rock under the Live Rock which helps create a foundation. I have to stay within a budget and move slowly with this large tank.
