No, it doesn't retract. Last night I came home from work and found it just laying on the sand. This morning it was in the same spot. It hasn't moved, changed shape, withered, or anything else. It was on the damsel's rock, so I think maybe he knocked it off or one of the blue legged crabs. I'm just watching it now to see what it will do. |
