Last minute thought - our new setup has a SeaSwirl as the main return pump/wavemaker. The old tank (same size - 125g) had the dual overflow, split into 2 each returns (static), and 4 Hydor Koralia 1's.

The new tank has 1 pump midway down buried in rock with just a slit opening, and the SeaSwirl at the farther end. It's driven by a smaller Rio return pump than we had in the old system, and we get MUCH, MUCH better flow and water exchange. In effect, we've got less electrical stuff in the tank, greater flow and waves, and less power usage, etc. For us, a great way to go, and because the SeaSwirl is sitting only about 1-2 inches under the water, plenty of surface movement as well for outgassing, and flicker from the lights.

I'm tellin ya - check this out before you go with in-tank stuff that'll probably cost a lot more.
