Make sure it's an old credit card
and be careful when you reach the substrate because little sand particles can get caught up and do scratches.
The acrylic,unlike glass,will slowly degenerate.This is due to the tank lighting which slowly causes discolouration.I used to have an acrylic tank which was set-up for 6 years and during that time it went from clear to tinted.
