Default Re: mixing puffers

I would have to now say it is not a good idea to mix any puffers. We have had a striped puffer in our 100g for around 2 years now. He is only about 6 inches long and is very calm. Around 3 months ago we got a pocupine puffer around half the size of the striped puffer and they have been doing very well with each other. Well recently one night they just started to go at it. We thought maybe it was just a disagreement and within a day or so it will go away. Well 2 days passed and the pocupine just keeps going after the striped puffer to the point where the striped puffer is pretty much beaten up and is bleeding around the mouth. We basically had to seperate them. They remind me of triggers. One day everything will be okay and everything is calm and then they just get nasty with each other and start bitting everything. I would not recommend mixing them exp. in a small tank.
