Anyway -- A little hole in your clam might indicate that there are parasites on your clam. There are several species of boring snails that will slowly bore a hole in the clam and "suck out its blood." You have to be careful and this is a good example of why a quarantine tank is so important. You can watch for pesky little critters that could really destroy your main tank.
