Default Switched from aggressive to reef..

So i havn't been on here latly.. but i have decided to change my aggressive/non aggressive tank (it was a very weird set-up pet stores don't know how it worked) to a reef tank... i kept 2 of my aggresive fish because they were the first fish i bought for saltwater... and now i am on my way to starting reef... im using live ocean water... but i have some worries about going to reef... what are they honestly i have no clue... if yu have any tips for me please let me know... the fish that i kept that were non aggresive are the only things in there.. 3 maroon clownfish, a yellowtail surgeon fish, and a tiger tail cucumber...

Was it a good idea to switch??

Do yu recommend gluing the live rock together... the aggresive tank was very easy it was my first saltwater and i didnt have to do to much to it... and how often should i check the levels of ammonia, nitrite, etc.??? please helppp im very confused
