I keep a pretty big file of copied info from websites and forums and last night I was looking thru it thinking of throwing much of it away and found a lot of real good reads I had forgotton about. (I guess thats why I printed them off, so I wouldnt forget them) This one on lighting that I have is one I have used several times trying to understand a little about lighting in our tanks. Im throwing it out there if anyone wants to read it.
Aquarium Lighting; Kelvin, Nanometers, PAR, Bulb, CRI, Watt, light basics.
Also...I beg (yes beg) those of you confused about lighting to read Adam Blundells articles on light that is needed for different corals. He is sooooo accessible as he is right here on the RB sight! The articles are a gold mine if we just take the time to read them. Sorry I dont have a link to them but with a little search they should be easy to find.
Im seeing an unbelieveable amount of questions regarding light issues on the forums. Many are basic and can be answered with the 2 sources Ive listed.
There is no way possible to answer the question I see over and over...what light should I put over my tank? Its just such a relative thing.
