I have heard of clowns hosting in a lot of different things, anywhere from sea urchins to feather dusters.
Back to your question about the shroom. Most comonly clowns will host in a Rhodactis indosinensis if no anemone is present. I believe you can get them at liveaquaria, but am not sure.
