Re: diy project 210 gal Sorry that I can't point you to a book that would be good for you to read, but it your patient, I can try to help you. The reason why I say "patient" is because I'm not on-line 24/7 so you need to wait for me to come back on-line to respond, whereas in a book, you can always pull it out and read. For the most part, large tanks have many things that are very similar to small tanks. The water flows through the sump the same way, except you are very often able to split the water flowing through the skimmer area from the water flowing through the refugium area since you generally would have a larger sump. Regarding hooking up a calcium or phosphate reactor, ozone, UV, chiller, metering devices,etc... should it be desired or needed, there are plenty of people that have them that can tell you the best way to hook them up or adjust them. IMO, no additional piece of equipment is necessary for a 210 gal tank that isn't necessary for a 30 gal tank, but usually the additional equipment is added for convenience. With that said, because of the scale, some devices can be really nice to have, depending on your coral types and bio load.
