One other piece of important advice from a fellow nube is to add the vast majority of live rock before you add fish. Very few LFS can claim "cured" live rock and if you order live rock, it will have some die off. I think I was lucky on adding a few more fish than normal because I made sure to get enough rock and make sure the ammonia cycle finished before I added a fish.
