Shrimps are awesome, we have a blood shrimp and skunk shrimp and they are most entertaining! i highly recommend them. However, it sounds like SaltySteve is trying to relieve his tank of ich, and truly the only way of ridding the system of it entirely is by running the tank "fish-less" for at least 6 weeks and treating all fish in QT either through hyposalinity (if you have a refractometer) or copper. Please correct me if I'm wrong guys as I have never had ich in my tank.
