coral banded shrimp are pretty tough customers. i have had mine for at least 7 months now and have had as many as 3 damsels in my tank and good old mr. shrimpy had no problems at all. that coral banded shrimp doesn't take crap from any of the fish. he'll even raise his claws at my hand when i am screwing around in there. i wouldnt worry about it. now a cleaner or peppermint shrimp are fair game. you could always get an arrow crab or decorator crab..those are even cooler looking in my opinion.
