Heteractis magnifica; Stichodactyla gigantea; S. mertensii. These are the natural hosts for the Occelaris clown. Unfortunately they are also the largest (up to 3 feet across) and most difficult to keep. Many times they will take to Entacmaea quadricolor (bubble tip) in an aquarium setting. The bubble tip is the least demanding anemone, but still not easy to care for. You should not attemp to keep any anemone until your tank and water parameters have been stable for at least six months, preferably a year.
